1952-54 Fender skirt issue

I have a friend that has a 53 Ford. He bought fender skirts but they are too short. The seller swears they are correct. Does anyone know the measurement
Of the wheel well measured at the bottom of the car?

Why can't your friend measure his '53 Ford and present that to the seller?:confused:
 
Jack, The fender skirts on my stock '53 Victoria and original fender opening is 31 1/4" at bottom of fender skirt.

The seller has questioned whether the quarter panels/wheel wells are original or if somebody once reworked them.
