Hi,
I recently acquired a 1951 ford hardtop.I'm 19 years old and have had my share of fords and mercurys but am exited to have traded for my first shoebox! I have gotten a pretty decent project car and plan on making a resto- rod with either a 292 y block or the good old flathead. However when i looked at the frame under the car I noticed it was a standard car frame . I have been told it was supposed to have a convertible "X" frame and my question is do i have the wrong frame ? I will also be needing seats if anyone has some . I am learning upholstery and would actually like the chance to make the back seat from sedan frame as long as i cant find one
Any help would be greatly appreciated also feel free to voice any opinions on y block or flatty
Thanks
Daniel J .
