1951 ford conver overdrive trans removal

i have a 51conver with an overdrive trans can the trans be taken out with out taking out the motor because of the x frame ****** needs two come out oil leaks at the shafts on the ****** thanks

No need to remove engine or rear. The cross member comes out.

make sure you take the solenoid out before taking trans out

Have a rag handy to poke in the solenoid hole when you turn it 1/4 turn to take out. Also a good idea to replace the solenoid seal while you have the transmission out. Charles
