I have never seen a factory shroud on a passenger car flathead V8, and don't remember seeing one in the parts books either. Trucks had shrouds, passenger cars did not.
I don't see the need either, the 49-53 V8s typically cool better than the earlier engines. With a clean block and a good radiator there is no need for a shroud.
