Does anyone have any thoughts on how to repair a leaky heater core on my bus. coupe. I called Mac's and Classic OKC and they said it is not made.

That does not help my slow drip drip drip from my core.

Car was in storage since 55. Radiator shop was no help either.

Thank you for looking.

Try another radiator shop. We are unable to recommend a shop because you do not show where the car is.

cm; I bet you could use a propane torch and some solder and fix it yourself. Give it a try.

Back in the day, radiator shops could get just about any size/shape of core. Sometimes they had to be cut down a bit. Times have changed. You have to go to the Brass Works type shops to find cores or they have to cut a larger one down. Things aren't like they used to be only 10 or 15-years ago or so.

A good rad shop can still get cores for these heaters I just had my 50 heater core done, the rad shop cut down a core to fit. they only had to take 3/4" form the height. of a currently stocked core. Try and avoid the new replacement ones that are on the market, they do not fit in the heater box very well. A little to tall for the tray that they sit in. Marlon
