hey guys, im looking for some brake drums for my F1, iv found some but there Taiwan made and 125 each for the fronts and 50 each for the rears.

thanks as always..

One of our problems is most of our trucks have drums that are worn past +.060

The front drums are unique with that 1/2" offset from the hub to the outside of the shoe....thus the expense.

the rears are common 48-67 at least so the demand is higher.

I have bought them from Napa but it has been a while and they were half the cost of the repro guys and I am sure they were made in the same country.

I bought my front drums for my '48 F-1 from Midwest Early Ford in Springfield, Ohio. They were made in Columbia, South America. The quality was very good and I measured the I.D. and it was perfect. The back drums I got from NAPA I think. They were made in China and they looked like typical Chinese JUNK! I measured the I.D. and one was 11.005 and the other one was 11.010. I guess that's as close as the CHINK's can get it!

Rockauto.com
Raybestos brand for rears@ $26.79 each. Don't know where they are made???

I bought some Raybestos from Rock Auto a few months back and they were made in Canada. These were for one of my Mercury cars and they are the 53 thru 63 F-100 drums. The Mercury cars in 49 thru 51 used the same drums on the rear axle as the F-1 since both use the Dana 41/44.
