1949 steering wheel question

Got a chance to pick up a cheap '49 Tudor project with a solid body. The car has a 4 spoke steering wheel on it. I thought the only ones that had those were the 1950 Crestliners. Or were they an option on the 49s?

That is a valuable wheel if it is any good. They were an option, but not sure what year they were first available.

A black four spoke steering wheel and horn ring was standard on the 1950 Crestliner. A brown one was offered as an extra cost option on other 1950 models. The four spoke was not available on the 1949 from the factory. This info came from the "Nifty Fifties Fords" by Ray Miller and Glen Embry

According to FoMoCo the 4-spoke, Ivory, Deluxe wheel was available in l949 & 1950.
Part No. 8A-18373 List Price $15.75 Cost $9.45 I have a l949 convertible with one
one it.

It will have to be re-cast but from what's still left of it appears it was the ivory as it is white. Thanks guys.
