1949 mercury clutch

Will a 10” long clutch and disk work in place of the borg and beck pressure plate ? Ill be using a steel insert alum flywheel drilled for the 10”. Stock merc 3spd od trans Thanks

Can you post a photo of the 10" long clutch and disk you have?

Borg and Beck design uses equidistant bolts spacing on the cover to flywheel. The Long uses two equally spaced bolts in three locations so spacing is different.
