1949 Ford rear window stainless install question

I am having trouble installing the stainless trim into the new Dennis Carpenter (double groove) rubber for the rear window. I've heard that the rubber is actually too big, making the job almost impossible. I've bought rubber products from them in the past and they are usually perfect. Any suggestions??

I have tried installing this window with trim on and off. Off does not work, on will work except the rubber keeps trying to puke the trim out. Laugh if you want but a little dab of crazy glue where it starts to pop out worked for me. This was on the second gasket as I toasted the first one trying some other methods. The gasket I used had no "corners" built into it which is where the problem was. Front one was far less of a problem.
