1949 ford f1 questions

I have a few questions about my 1949 ford pickup. Any answers would be appreciated.
1. Are any of these buttons original? if so, what are they for?
2. My oil pressure gauge inside the truck doesn't work, but the one on the engine work. After driving for about 8-10 minutes the oil pressure gauge inside the truck will come on and read 60 pounds of oil pressure. What could be causing this? the truck is running on 12v negative ground.

Center picture shows what looks like a bogus horn button and a correctly located windshield wiper control with the wrong knob I run 6 volt so I can't speak to the gauge question. Left picture shows air baffle below radiator. (I think). Right picture show replacement ignition switch and heater controls. 1 knob might be correct--hard to see.

The right know on the middle picture is where the windshield wiper know belongs I think but none of the others are original.

The only pushbutton on the dash should be the starter button (on the left side). That may be an after market heater fan control on the right in the third picture. And you probably know that's not an original ignition switch.

I don't understand the oil pressure question. What do you mean by "...the one on the engine works..."? It sounds like you may have the wrong oil pressure sender (50# vs. 80#) giving a bogus gage reading. Is there a voltage reducer on the gages to allow them to work properly on 6 volts?

None of the knobs/switches including the ignition switch are correct. The round wiper knob next to the aftermarket horn button can probably replaced with the proper wiper knob, it just pulls straight off. The first photo is the pan behind the radiator under the front of the engine.

I installed a voltage reducer and i checked it with my meter and it was getting 6 volts, but my gauges were'nt working. I then reconnected them to 12 volts and they started working again. It looks like i have the correct gauges, but i read that they dont make reproduction gauges( that look like the originals). Somewhere the original owner must have found some reproduction gauges that were 12v.

I think your stock gauges should work on either 12 volts or 6 volts. Don't mean to start an uproar, but I believe the circuitry is such that resistance in the gauges mimics the resistance in the respective sending units so the voltage isn't an issue. All the gauges in my 49 F1 work fine on 12 volts without any added voltage reducer.
If your need new gauges, contact Dennis Carpenter Ford and ask for new old stock dept. They had new ones there last week. 800-476-9653.
