I'm restoring a 49 F1, complete overhaul on engine. I was told it ran a year & a half ago. This guys pants must be on fire. Any way , went with 60 over and carb seems to be all froze up. Appears to be ford 94 holly of some sort. My question is what's the best carb to go back with ? Thanks Bob

Model # 8BA is the correct carb for this motor,i have some rebuilt w/all USA parts. PM or call 1-203-260-5945 or email igadore@sbcglobao.net. ken ct. Yea Ross ,your right don't know what I was thinking, pass I guess . yea a 8RT has the double cable bracket, the 7RT only has the single cable or a rod type choke.Thats what ive been able to gather from big hard cover Holley book I have had for years. ken ct. Sorry about the miss info. Was too early in the morn.

Being a truck, the original carb would be a 7RT-9510-A. Superceded to 8RT-9510-F. An 8BA carb would not have the manual throttle like a truck carb.

As Ross stated, the carburetor. at least originally, would be a 7RT. Though later renamed the 8RT in '51 (the difference being cable operated choke and hand throttle, if equipped), all bowls were cast with "7RT".
