1948 ford Tudor sedan interior

Hope somebody can help me with some pictures. I have a 48 Tudor sedan that I'm having the interior redone. The problem were having is the rear wheel wells. Are these covered with the door panel material or do you paint them Or what? My guy doing the interior has never done one and I can't find any pictures of the back seat to find out. I think it would look pretty bad to leave these rear fender wells exposed. I would appreciate any and all help with this if someone has pictures.

I just got some scrap vinyl and glued on mine. Quite honestly, however, I wish I had put at least some thin piece of insulation under those pieces because riding in the back seat in the winter your hip is right on those thin metal wheel wells and they are darn cold. I provide small pillows to put between the rear seat passengers' hips and those wheel wells to keep their hips from freezing. Here's a picture of my back seat that shows that vinyl covering the wheel well.

Maybe gluing fabric instead of vinyl might have given a little more insulation. Might have even looked better - warmer.

Thanks a lot for the picture. At least it gives us some idea on what to do. I will probably go with the same material as the lower door panel. I guess this piece would need to be installed before the panel goes on.

Here's a picture and blurb from the Early Ford V8 41-48 book. Looks like in that picture they tried to match the surrounding material even more than I did.
