1948 Ford Ignition Switch Bezel?

Hi All,
I am trying to install a new ignition switch in my 48 Ford Super Deluxe and can't get it to snap in place. I was told by a locksmith that I needed a bezel for the cab side of the dash to snap it in place. There are tabs on the switch housing and cutouts in the dash that line up but can't get it to snap in. What am I missing???

Like the locksmith said the bezel.

If my memory is correct I think you line up the tabs on the switch push through the holes in
Column drop than turn to lock it in place, the bezel finishes it more for looks.

Flathead48 has it right the bezel doesn't hold it just finishes it off, Line up the slots then turn to lock in place.

Thanks to all of you, it took some extra push but we got it in and now I'll look for a bezel to dress it up.
