Good solid builder. Absolutely no rust through anywhere. Not even in the usual places. Surface rust and a few minor dents. No bondo. Door hinge pins are even smooth and tight. Vent window frames free and no rust. Needs glass. I have a new back glass and vent glass for it.
Someone put what I was told is a 1955 Old's Rocket V8 and auto trans in it. Sloppy job in my opinion. I was told it ran when parked but, that was in 1971. Spark plugs looked good. I put some MMO in the cylinders before turning it and it is free. Oil looks good. No evidence of any water. No air filter but, carb was covered. I have pics of the plugs and dipstick with the oil. Radiator was dry. I filled to see if any leaks. No leaks after a weekend so I drained it to avoid a freeze.
I was told the rear end made noise but, I have another Timken rear for it if needed. I also have a T9 4 speed if wanted. Would be nice to put a Flathead back in it.
I only bought this for the Express Bed and long running boards. I put them on my 52 F3 and put the stake bed and shorty running boards on it so I could sell it complete.
I was going to part it out but too many ticked off people said to restore it. I can't afford two builds so here it is for sale.
Ask any questions, I have more pics. Feel free to make offer.
