I purchased a 1948 coupe which was streeted rodded. I want to bring it back to orignal. The body appears to be very complete and orignal hoever however the drive train has been changed. Can any one tell me if for instance 1946-48 drivetrains are the same or if earlier drivetain parts will innerchange. This may help me in locating possibly a complete chassis to change it over or if it is not totally hacked up maybe just change the drivetain. Any help appreciated. Tom

46-48 drive trains are almost identical. There are some differences, but I don't know what they are.

Hi,
i have a 48 parts car that still has the complete rear-end, front axel engine and transmission. I can't ship it so if you are interested, i live in western mass. You could drop by with a pick-up truck.

Big al in westfield ma.

I have a friend in Suffolk, VA that has a complete rolling chassis that is original and still has the 2 dr body on it. He might trade you his whole works for your chassis. Really depends on where you are located. Just a thought. Al
