1947 Windshield Garnish retainer support clip ??

Took my interior garnish molding out to paint, and there was 1 of these on the backside.

Am i missing a bunch, or is this not supposed to be there, or???

I cannot find a reference to them in the catalogs.

I believe that is the piece that connects the bottom of the right and left trim pieces. The large hole in the center is for the windshield wiper switch.

ya i think woodiewagon is right or it might go on top my rearview mirror. i had windshield trim on mine out and when i sold it i had that piece i remember.
