1947 Tail light issue

Hoping for some help. My tail light directional flasher is out. A picture of the brake light and directional flasher is attached. The flasher bulb (on the right) does not seem removable and I think the bracket assembly is after market. Is anyone familiar with or know where I might find this bracket assembly that attaches to the inside of the tail light bucket? I am 6 volt positive ground and the car was equipped with a Signal-Stat 900 directional kit. Any help greatly appreciated.

Not sure why someone would have put in that bracket with the two bulbs. There was no need to do that as the original bulbs were dual filament. That dual filament bulb would have worked fine with the Signal Stat unit. Before doing anything, check for a fuse being out , the flasher being bad, or a bad bulb.

The bulb will come out if you remove one of the Philips screws and loosen the other. Looks like a fog light bulb. Aftermarket for a brighter brake light.

It looks like the bulb is a push in halogen, just like a lot of the bulbs used in today's cars.. I have almost the same set up as you have (aftermarket conversion), in a 48 Ford (12V). You should be able to just pull the bulb out out. I doubt that the bulb is like that pictured above but is probably like the one pictured by 37 cab

If it is that, once you put in the replacement make sure you clean the glass as finger oils and other dirt can make it go bad.
