I am trying to install a Period Correct Inside rear view mirror which i believe in 1947 was an option. I have accumulated a few from swap meets. The Blue & Black ones in the photo do not have screw holes that line up, also the Vermillion colored small cover in my photo does nor line up, can anyone shed any light on this?
Thank you.

Pickups did not come with mirrors but had the joint cover like your RED piece. It has a sloppy fit . You will discover that if you hold one of your mirrors in place at the upper windshield area all you can see is the tailgate. Move it down a few inches. I used a 1950 car mirror with a stem that mounts in a hole drilled in the center molding strip. The rusty one is close if you can attach jt to the center strip.

My joint cover is more than sloppy, anyone ever seen more than 1 size of these? You are right about slant of the mirror, i plan to use the bottom one in the photo, it does line up with a screw on the windshield divider & looks like it will work, would like to cover that joint if possible, would not have thought Henry would have left it like that?
THANK YOU!!
