You should use a clean wire brush and some steel wool to shine up all the ground and battery connections. The clean up involves removing the connector and dressing the mating surfaces - not just brushing the exterior. The battery cables look like 12v types and are not helping you.
Be sure to clean the ground for the starter button as well.
The engine bay looks well tended otherwise. I'm sure you'll be running soon.
