Recently replaced the rear wheel cylinders on our '47 Coupe.Shoes, drums etc look great, not sure why they didn't do cylinders!!?? At any rate, after pulling the floor apart I removed the master filler cover.I noticed it had no gasket and had been seeping. It's a plastic POS cap.I topped it off to start bleeding and when replacing the cap it felt "loose".Sure enough, bad threads except for the last 2 or 3 which explains no gasket.I dug up a suitable gasket and again, won't tighten. Before I spend hours and excessive money with someone 3000 miles away,I thought I'd give you guys a shot with suggestions or maybe even a replacement cap!!?? We're in Newport NH if anyone local can help.Open for thoughts/suggestions.....Thanks in advance!

Go to the local NAPA store, they should be able to fix you up. Unfortunately most of the new ones that I have seen are plastic.

I recently purchased a new master cylinder from Advance Auto of all places and it had a metal cap. It only cost about $40 for the whole master cylinder.

I think MAC's sells the metal caps.

Fibber, what's the part number on that MC, we don't have any Advanced auto's here, but I might get someone to pick me up one.
