Working on a 1946 Ford Pickup...and wondering if anyone can tell me the correct transmission color. The trans I have has matching VIN to the frame, but appears to have been painted Ford Green, like the 41/42 Fords...however the engine is not a raised deck engine. By all accounts the engine/trans should be painted blue..correct? Did the trucks paint transmission black...or did they match the engine color?
