I am restoring a 1946 Mercury 4 door sedan. It currently has a Ford speedometer which only goes to 100 mph while a Mercury speedometer goes to 110 mph.
I have seen some Mercury speedometers that have the mph numbers printed on the back side of the glass and some where the mph numbers are attached to the speedo face. Some have just even mph numbers (10, 20, etc.) and some have odd mph numbers (5,15, 25, etc.) painted on the face between the even numbers.
I also know that the styling and colors for both the speedo and the clock should match.
Does anyone know which type, style and color scheme is correct for the 1946 Mercury 4 door sedan?
