I have tripped the circuit breaker in my 46 it is the original style how do these work and what do you replace , have a great day Steve

a circuit breaker should reset itself after it cools off, it works kind of like a turn signal bliker, it gets hot and breaks connection, cools down and engergises again,, it should be in the fuse box, not to sure about the 46 buts thats where most of them are, you should just be able to pull it out like a fuse,

There is no fuse box on the '46 and the circuit breakers are not "plug in" like on modern cars. The circuit breakers will either be mounted on a board attached to the firewall behind the gauges with the coil resistor on it thus:

Or the two circuit breakers will be attached to the back of the gauges if the coil resistor is on the coil and look like this:

available here if yours doesn't come back on when cooled: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1942-1946-1...8-D-/200965812433?hash=item2eca7ef0d1&vxp=mtr
