1946 1 1/2 Ton Stake Bed Height

I need someone to measure the height of a factory stake bed from top of frame rail to bottom of decking. I'm building a new bed for mine and am worried about wheel clearance. It has a homeade lumber rack on it now.

If I make the bed high enough to clear the tires when on the bump stops, it will be quite high.

If nobody can get you the measurement you asked for, here's the 1946 factory chart showing it's 41.72" from the ground to load height when the truck is fitted with standard 7.50 x 20" tires. Stu

 
Great info. Stu, you seem to have a lot of good lit on our old trucks. Got any sheets on the 40-41's? Thanks for sharing.
