Restoring a 1947 Mercury Convertibles. Everyone says the metal from the cowl back is same as Ford. Here is my questions:

1.) Does anyone make a lower rear door post patch Panels?
2.) Do I have to custom make the top quarter inner skirt (inner fender). My outer fenders are good. Just where the tires were throwing the stones and water from one end to the other. About A 1 1/2 inch wide strip, end to end on both rt & lft sides.

Yes I see nospartsman complete floor pan on ebay today for $1.500.00 but my floor and trunk are good, and shipping!

Any ideas on a patch panels or a NOS replacement for my dilema?

Thanks oldskool,

They all have rocker panels but no one seems to have the rear lower back door post or inner fender skirt patch panels.

Tried Bob Drake, EMS and macsautoparts.

There has to be thousands of great metal formers out their. There has to be over a thousand 40 Fords that have been repaired or restored over the decades! Some one has made a lower rear door post form or has a template for forming this part. Any one there with any ideas? Last resort is to try the yard or try to duplicating the reverse the other side. Hey there lower left door post skin, where are you????? I THINK 1940 -1948 may all be the same.
