i live in ohio and traded for this car with the seller giving me a bill of sale and took his word he would mail the title but as you may hasve gueesed he has not so my question is does anyone know how to get a title in ohio with just a bill-of-sales

I got a title for my Model A thru a place called International Title Service, about 4 years ago. No problems with them at all. You can find them listed on the internet.

What I did... Ask the people at your local deparment of motor vehicles. I'm in Ca, that's what I did, went thru like a breeze and it didn't cost a nickel more than if I had had a title... It probably helps to sneak up on the subject, your state may differ... Karl

If its the same as Illinois you would go to the services department with your bill of sale, they will call Ohio to find out the status of that vehicle, If everything is kosher you should be able to get a duplicate Title if not you may end up bonding your car. you can check on your dmv website see if you have a services dept., ask them what you should do. I would try to go through the state first, we seem to have a real fun bunch of stuff going on in Ill. hope you dont have the same coming your way
