1941 pickup torque tube

After totally dismantling my 41 pickup, I notice that the torque tube is 'thinner' at the top end than 37-39 tubes. Does a 41 pickup need this tube for cab floor clearance, or can I use a 37-39 tube? The reason I am asking is because the center bearing on the 41 tube is all slogged out. Thanks for any help on this. Gordon

Why not call Skip and get a new bearing and use the correct tube?? It's not hard to put in if you follow his instructions.

Like Cecil said, use the right tube with ine of Skip's bearings. It's not hard to do.
