This is an excellent set of Ford factory replacement NORS (new old stock replacement) hub caps for a 1941 Ford that fits the sixteen inch steel "smoothie" wheel. 1941 was the last year Ford used the "rolled edge" hub cap , which was one continuos piece of stainless steel. In 1942 Ford went to the "sharp" or "pressed " edge , which had a galvanized ring insert on the inside rim of the cap. When filling depleted parts inventories, Ford used the "pressed" type construction for 1941 replacement orders. These caps up for bid are those replacements.

I've taken a present day repo cap and compared it to the NORS caps in order to show the differences. The Ford script on the NORS caps is also stamped sharper and clearer on the edges. Examine all the pictures that make comparisons . The retainer rings on the inside are even constructed differently. It may be hard to notice in the pictures.

The caps are in perfect condition and would be excellent for restoration and show once the script has been painted. These also can be used for other Ford 16 inch wheel applications. You may be able to get repos for $125 but, these are the real deal.
