1941 generator help

1941 V8 one ton truck. When the engine warms up there is a whine from the area of the front of the generator. I would like to check the front bearing but I can't see how to get the pulley off so I can slide the shaft out. It looks like it might screw off but I can't tell.

Can you please tell me how to get the pulley off so I can pull the shaft? Thanks.

There is a retaining clip on the end of the shaft that has to be removed first. Then the pulley screws off. Best to do this with the armature in a vise. A double shield bearing is a good replacement:
28-48 Pilot Bearing B-7609 NAPA 6203-2RST, National 203FF , NCH 6203 2NSE9C3, KOYO 39-41 Generator Front Bearing B-10094 same as transmission pilot B-7609 see below
6203RS
Same as the 39-41 generator bearing.

Thank you Terry,OH! I got the little wire clip and pulley off without too much trouble. The replacement bearing info is great. Thank you for all the help. Ford Barners come to the rescue again!
