Up for sale is a nice orriginal 1941 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. I am selling this for my Dad. It came from Montana and was complete. It has a flathead V8 and we did get it running and drove it around the block. It needed a rebuild pretty bad, so heres what he did. He pulled the engine, completly tore it down, cleaned and inspected it. My Dad has rebuilt vintage engines for over 35 years so this was nothing new. He also cleaned under the hood. This is about were he stopped.
Truck is all orriginal and needs a lot of TLC, but is a great piece to start with. The patina is awesome if your into that. He bought a new orriginal cloth style wiring harness for it, upper raditor hoses and also has a nice new reproduction grill (grill that is in the truck is home made!) and hood trim (wiskers). He pulled the seat out and still has it (needs recovered). He has also picked up a nice black original tailgate. Great truck to make a hot rod, this is the most popular year (40/41) of the fat fendered pickups. Has some typical rust in bed side bottoms, cab corners, a little in the floors and a tiny bit in the door jam area. He is asking 4,500.00 for it as-is. He said he can build the engine if you would like, that is up to the buyer. It has a clear Montana title.
Here it is the day he got it:
