1941 Fender Skirt Clarification

Hello,
I have a 1941 Mercury Coupe, that I have been trying to track down some long fender skirts for. Can someone please shed some light on these? I had some questions.I just wanted to make sure I am asking for the correct thing, most places have no idea what I am talking about.

1. I heard somewhere that these long versions were a 1941 Ford/Merc Accessory item. Did Ford actually make these?

2. Was this a one year only production piece?

Please if you can give me the lowdown I would appreciate it. I am finding information on these hard to find.

Are you thinking of the Turnpike Cruiser skirts of 1957 to 1959?

They are 41 only due to the 42-48 Ford's having the stone guard.

yes, 1 year only, & very hard to find! if you can wait until nov.6, i will have a genny pair for sale at vet's stadium swap meet. [ there are steel & glass repros, but they just don't look as good as the real ones! ]
