Can anyone send me a close up picture of a real nice 1941-47 ford truck speedometer face, I believe all had shift points for 2nd and third gear, would like to see and know the colors also, any information will be helpful. Thanks BILL bwells4608@comcast.net
 
Only the larger trucks with 4 speed trans. had the shift points.I will take a photo tomorrow of My 1/2 ton 47,it is not perfect but you can see the details,it is basicly like a 40 std. dash. John

I have a 47 COE truck with the 4-speed and the 60-mph speedometer with the shift sectors. The 1/2-ton pickups had a 100-mph speedo I believe unless they were equipped with the 4-speed and I don't know if that was a factory option.

My speedometer is good but slightly faded so a picture won't show you true color details. I can send a pic if you wish...it will take a few days to do that though (visiting the in-laws...yes! exciting times...).

MACs Auto Parts sells the 4-speed, 60-mph decal for speedometer restoration. Someone else may also but I can't recall off-hand. That might be the best way to go if you're seeking a full restore.
