This is a 1940 ford pickup truck cab --the cab comes as shown in the pictures and would be good for a hot rod,
ratrod project or body panels----feel free to ask any questions

I believe the first set of pics that you say are a 40 have a 41 dash. The emblem on the dash is a 41 if I am not mistaken. The 40 dash has the word ford raised only, not the plaque.
