1940 Pickup Shock Mount

Hi, first post here. I have my Dad's 1940 pickup he bought back in '56. The shocks were disconnected and the links are missing.
I suspect from another post that I need 3" links with no sway bar installed.
My link mount does not match the parts book I have. Can anyone confirm I need 3" link? And can anyone tell me what the lower hole is for - the one with the grease zerk on it?
Thanks!
Ralph

Thanks for the PMs guys. I have the answer. 3", and swaybar. I don't have enough posts to PM in reply, but to those who asked, No. Its not for sale, its a family heirloom.
I'm sure I'll be back with many more questions.
