How much are 1940 p/u rims worth? I have a set of 5 with old bias ply tires on them. Looking to sell them. In great shape was using them till this year.
Thanks
Thanks
40 rims have a unique shape to their profile.
Interesting, what are true '40' rims? and how are they different to 41 and later?
As usual, you are correct Sir
It seems to me 1941 rims had that same profile. For a purist like myself, having a rim with a '41 date stamped in to it would not be acceptable. Yeah, I know- I'm strange that way.
Ahhh.......you ain't particularly strange.....you just know that "right is right"! You're right about the '41s being the same. DD
This question is a bit off the topic. Are the narrow wheels for the V8-60 cars similar to the wider ones (profile represented in 01A wheel in photo above) in that first year of their type?

Am I right in thinking there is an in between variant with the angled well side, but still only the 4" width? I'm sure I have a mixture of straight sides and angle sides but they are not 4-1/2".
Mart.
