1940 Mercury hood latch same as 40 Ford?

Does anyone know if a 40 Ford hood latch will work on a 40 Mercury? I know the emblem will be wrong but mine is missing and I'm not even sure what the Mercury hood latch emblem looks like. If anyone has a picture of Mercury hood latch that would be a great help at Hershey. Thanks Guys.

As Kube says "not even close". Mercs are an entirely different animal and you can only use Merc parts. '39 and '40 Merc hood parts should be the same.
 
Thanks guys. I had to edit my title. I forgot the word latch in the title. Are the hood latches interchangeable? I'm not worried about the design or the emblem. I just need it to function.

To my knowledge the hood latches do not interchange with any other Ford product.
