This is a complete set including the eyebrow & horn button for all 40
Mercurys .I have had this set for over 15 years.These are reproduction
pieces that are made of polystyrene plastic.They are exact copies of the originals. Unlike the original sets that were made of a soybean by product.These will not turn to powder and will not distort with age. Before I purchased these I had 2 mint original sets stored away and when I checked on them after a few years they turned to garbage.A Ford expert told me I should have stored them in a freezer.
If I was aware of that I would have done it. Anyway back to these pieces I have. A gentleman in his 80s who was a master machinist,contacted Dennis Carpenter about producing the pieces for Dennis to sell through
his catalog on a special order basis.A deal was sealed but sales were not
up to expectations so they were dropped after a year or so.This gentleman who I never met was a Mercury fanatic and a fine craftsman.These were expensive when I bought them.They can be painted mercury blue or any color you like.You can even have them chrome plated. "NO REASONABLE OFFER REFUSED" Please be realistic
