I am selling a rust free 1940 Ford truck bed. I have had this bed sitting in my barn for the last seven years with plans on using it. It is rust free and fairly straight. thanks

Your bed appears to be from a 1942-1947 Ford pickup, three inches wider than 1938-1941

Aircooled is right, Spare tire on drivers side. Dead giveaway. Nice box though. Ken

'40 bed tailgate would be embossed with V8--'41 bed and up embossed Ford because of the availability of the 4 and 6 cylinder engine in '41. I'd love to have it if it was the right one for my '41! Thanks......................Rog
