I bought someone's project car that i didnt disassemble, so I will for sure be seekingg assistance. Thank you in advance for any help yyou offer.

This is a really nice start to a street rod build. It is sitting on a Roadster Shop chassis. My question involve mounting points for the body. Did the body originally only have one mounting point between the cab floor and the wood floor? I see a mounting point at the very rear of the body but nothing between there and the cab floor. Is that right?

Does anyone have a drawing that shows the mounting points?

Thanks
Rock

There is a tapped body mount hole shown in this picture but the lip that holds the wood floor is a couple of inches away. I can make something to put here but I am curious as to how the factory did it. It appears to me that there were no mounts back here.

I'm not a 40 expert, even though, many many years ago we had a 40 Deluxe Sedan Delivery, which we were sort of forced sell...many many years ago but I do have these shots of a 35/36 sedan delivery and I would think that the 40 "might" have been done similarly????? BUT I cannot say for sure and IF so, then these shots might help you. Hopefully "Kube" here on the barn will step in, he's the 40 Man!!!!
Not to be derogatory or curt BUT...... Its a hotrod and not a points judged car SO what does it really matter at this point, its been cut and modified already you can make it how you want it!!!!!!

True that! I just wondered if it was better secured to the chassis and how.

Yours had 2x4 cross members. That makes sense.

Is that body to frame gasket purchased or anti fatigue mat ? I question only because I recently removed a A body off of a frame and the previous owner made the gasket out of the foam mat . It holds water and the frame and body were pitted . Just in case thats what it is , be careful.

I have no idea but its sitting on powder coat. It appears to be closed cell, so it wont absorb water. I will remove the unnecessary part. Thanks!
