SOLD! . Clear Arkansas title. Original Flathead with new electronic ignition, new water pumps, aluminum radiator with custom aluminum fan shroud, electric fan. New dual exhaust system, Super Bell 4” drop front axle, Chassis Engineering parallel leaf rear spring kit, 8” ford 3.27 ratio, 3 speed trans with open drive line. 17 gal poly fuel tank, electric fuel pump, all new fuel and brake lines, new master cylinder, Haywire harness, new alternator, rebuilt starter, converted to 12 volt system with new LED taillights and super bright headlights, new Mack industries tailgate and rear stake pockets for bed (Not installed as of yet Original pockets had a 3/8 plate welded to them and was torn when plate was removed), 5 new Coker wide white wall tires on original wheels for this truck that have been sandblaster and powder coated Red, new center caps and beauty rings. I am sure I am forgetting something. I have saved all the original parts that I took off the truck when I started on it including the rear axle and transmission. I have the gas heater that was in the truck and also a correct water heater that I bought on EBay that needs to be restored. I was told that the 13700 miles that shows on the truck was original and the truck has sat in a barn in Oklahoma since 1958. From what I have seen I believe this to be true. Inside the trans looks new. I pulled the flathead and installed a new gasket set and checked the bearings. It all looked great. I should have put rings in it while I had it down because it has significant blow by when it warms up I would guess that the rings are stuck from sitting so long. The clutch looked like new also but started slipping after I put around 1000 miles on it. This is a very solid truck with almost no rust. It had a few pinholes in the floor and was sanded and painted with por15. The only other rust I have found is in the metal bed floor that is over the wood floor the two front corners rusted thru but did not hurt the bed sides. This was a farmer’s truck and looks the part. It has a few bumps and both front fenders have stress cracks up by the bumpers. It also has wire fence scratches on the fenders but good luck finding another one this solid, this one has the original paint and you can see that nothing is covered up. I also have a 1956 Chevy big back glass truck with a LT1/4L60 on Air ride for sale. The first one that sells I am keeping the other one. Call me to come and look at this time capsule. I am running this for a week then pulling the engine and replacing the rings and clutch so this price is only good until I pull the engine and replace the rings or until the 56 sells. SOLD!
