1940 ford pickup front spring

Well.. changing out the front spring to try and lower my truck. I've read stories about being careful because of the crazy tension on the spring. Everyone was right, was shocked on the pressure it was under. I may have peed a little when it came lose. Looks like a big difference to the new one. The new one is 1.5"

Did you use a spring spreader to get it out ?? New one a reversed eye?

Nope was scary I knocked off the wish bones with a long piece of wood. Was really sketchy.

Follow V8's advice. It's a lot easier than what I did ( below )to install my reversed eye spring.
