1940 Ford Hub Caps-I think

I was told these hub caps fit '39 or '40 Ford. I do not know for sure and I DO NOT know if they are repos, but I have had them for a couple of years. I have 4 in all and they are in good shape. They are painted black on outside edge and have V8 in the middle, which is chrome plated. I am responding to the guy that wanted hub caps for his 1940 Ford. Let me know what you think!

Hi,
Those hub caps are 39 Deluxe the last of the wide five wheels. 1940 wheels were the first of the narrow pattern 5 and 1/2 inch lug pattern, therefore take a much smaller hub cap. The 40's would not have a painted rim around the edge and would only be about 8 inches in diameter on the back side. Hope this helps. Toby

Also, I believe you have the real thing 39s. If they are made in two pieces, I think
I dare say they are authentic. In other works, the stainless piece is a separate piece.
