1940 Ford Horn Button

I got a early 1940 Ford Coupe. On the horn button it don't have Ford deluxe or v8 stamped in it. Just wondering if this is correct? It looks like it has always been there.

Clint, it depends on what model you have. The Ford V8 models had a simple "V8" on the button while the Deluxe models had "FORD DELUXE" on their buttons.

On the horn button it is just smooth.

Smooth buttons were later, aftermarket parts.

Then the horn button has FORD DELUXE pressed in. The recess is painted gold.
