Hi - I'm almost to the point where I can start installing glass in my coupe. The only glass I got with the "project" car was the wind wing / vent glass. I can make templates for all the glass, but really need to be accurate for the door window glass width. Can someone measure their coupe door glass width and let me know how wide. It is critical because it matches / meets wind wing glass. I know I can send away to different glass shops for the glass, but prefer to buy local. Thanks, Brian

Bob Drake encloses a template with dimensions in his gasket sets,Probably send you one for peanuts or Free, Dan.

I think you would be better off buying glass from a company that also has their own "Master" patterns such as Sanders glass. Making glass from someone's measurements won't be accurate enough and you will be "on your own" if it doesn't fit. Also be sure and get the correct "tint" ," glassbug", "edging", etc. Plus you will need glass setting tape. Your only going to install glass once so get it right the first time. http://www.sandersreproglass.com/

I know a guy here locally (auburn ca) that is a real old time glass guy and has original patterns for all older cars.
Im sure he would do you right and ship the perfect glass to you.
He did the glass for my dads 40 coupe and I was very happy.

I think I still have the old door glass, I could sent you a pattern off it if you like.

(Be advised) I was working on a 40 sedan for a customer once and he wanted correct script and dated glass. So I ordered some from one of the places back east that advised in hemmings. Long story short, I had to have 3/16 ground off windshield (using drake pattern) to get it to fit.
