SOLD SOLD SOLD
This car belongs to my Dad. He is selling off a few cars as he is buying a different car and needs to liquidate some stuff to make room for it.
This is a 1940 Ford Deluxe tudor sedan. My Dad has owned this car for quite a few years, collecting a lot of nice parts for it. He was going to restore it. The car itself is in very decent shape. It was original maroon and the previous owner sprayed it flat back. Other then the tail pan (included is a new Bob Drake tail pan) this car is rust free. I crawled all over it looking down the quarters, cowl, door and frame and man is this a solid car. It is also very strait. The fenders all have some bumps and bruises, and the passenger front has a crack near the running board, but all is very fixable. The trunk lid is sorry shape, but he picked up a very nice replacement.
It rolls and steers, axles are stock and feature all brakes and hardware. has four 16" factory wheels and original hub caps. Pedals are present as is the clamshell to hook up a transmission. There is no transmission or engine, but the stock radiator is in place. Frame and mentioned above is very nice and rot free. All glass needs replaced but all mechanisms are in the car. Doors open and shut well. The "X" behind the seat was removed for some reason, but an original replacement is included. The hood has had a scoop installed sometime in it's life, and a second hood needing some work is included. More extra parts are running boards, decent 40 Deluxe steering wheel, hood stainless, hardware, etc. The dash is very nice and not cut up, features both ash trays and has a nice set of original gauges as well. All head liner bows are present as well as the sunvisors.
The best part of this car is my Dad scored the interior out of a restored 40 tudor that was getting hotrodded and getting a complete new interior. This came from a car that was very nice and had very little miles on it. It is the complete back seat, front seat, all 4 door panels, headliner, package tray cover, rear carpets, and three armrest (never had one on passenger front door). We put this interior in the car tonight to see how it looked and man, does that dress it up!
Thats about it, he has it priced to sell at 4200.00 OBO and would like a quick, smooth deal. The 1940 Ford is one of the most ionic 40's cars around and are getting harder and harder to find in decent original shape. How cool would it be to do a Bob McCoy clone???
There is no title to the car but he will write out a bill of sale.
Please look at the pictures and they should tell the story. If you have any questions you can call my Dad, Dave at 509-953-6358. He works a lot so if he does not answer leave him a message. You can also PM me here as well.
