1940 Ford convertible

Yes it did. There are two canisters (not sure if that is the right word) that are vacuum operated. That makes it into a top that goes back by the power of the engine. I understand that it might be necessary to give it some gas when pushing the button to put the top down so that it has enough vacuum.
I have a '40 Deluxe convertible but there is a missing canister. It will start to put the top back, but there is not enough power to complete. I have been trying to get another canister to replace the one that is missing and I can't find one.

I tossed a bunch of good ones in the trash a half year ago. Couldn't give them away for postage (only). Bill Rhodes was just recently offering some for free (shipping only).
