1940 Ford Convertible

I have an original 1940 Ford Convertible with rear fender skirts, on 600 X 16 Bias Ply tires. I want to change them to tubeless radial tires for a safer and smoother ride. I know I have to purchase new steel wheels. Originals wheels are too narrow for tubeless radial tires. I want to keep the original look. I have both inner and outer beauty rings on the rims and I can't go with smaller wheels.

Question:

What size radial tires can I put on this car with fender skirts.
Where can I purchase a complete set of steel wheels.

No need to change the rims. Look at Coker Tire they have classic look radials so the appearance of your car does not change. You can run radial tubes in the rims, no need for boots.

Coker lists a 600R16 as a replacement that works with 4.0-5.0 wide rims.
You will have to determine if they will work with skirts.

I bought the Vintiques Gennie wheel 15x6 with a 3-3/4 in backspace from Jegs,
My hubcaps and trim rings from my original 16" wheels fit fine.
I put 205-70 radials on them, mounted them on the car and checked for interference seem to be ok. Part # for the wheel is 939-14-560-5334.
