1940 Ford Closed Car (#1)

Found these two parts with the words 1940 Ford Closed Car painted on them. Can someone identify them for me?

Those are the A pillar filler pieces that fit between the edge of the inside windshield and the door welting on the A pillar. They are covered with headliner material. One is LEFT. One is RIGHT. They are held in place with small flat head sheet metal screws about 1/2 in. long.
