The ones from LeBarron Bonney in my car are wood, i.e not metal like original.

That's bizarre. I know Lebaron sells wood forms for other models and years but not 1940.
They list metal arm rests with the brackets as part number RFP-1365. They get $82 for the pair.
I've seen them and they are very nice repops.

Hi Kube,

Now I'm not sure. My 40 was used for the LeBarron Bonney pattern and had no arm rests so they provided them. My car had been vinyl covered on top of the original so was good for their pattern.

LB sells both the wood ones and metal ones. Once padded and covered the wood ones look just like the metal ones. You can buy the wood ones separately, but the metal ones must be bought in pairs. Frankly I like the wood ones better as they are easier to cover.
