1940 choke/throttle rods for dual carbs??

I'm wondering if anyone would happen to know if stock throttle and choke rods will work with a dual carb intake? My sedan has an Edmunds dual carb intake with the generator in the stock location, so I'm assuming the forward carb is basically the same location as the stock single carb. My car was missing both rods so I'm needing to replace them, but I don't want to spend $50:eek: on the stock rods if they won't even come close to working on my car.

I have dual Edlebrock. Choke rod worked. Throttle was removed, not needed. I left the throttle knob for the look.

I would think you would cut and shorten the rods and use the carb closest to the firewall.

You only need one choke to start the car in a multi-carb set up. Your throttle linkage to the front carb would be on the opposite side of the factory throttle connection to your dash.

Thanks adileo.....I assumed it would work. I'm not too worried about the throttle side but definitely need the choke on these cold spring mornings. Now if only I could find the choke rod for sale by itself........ :)

I used rod extensions from Speedway Motors to reach the front carb when I installed my Offy dual manifold.

I hooked up my hand throttle like this;
